Delay at eBay
Sometimes one of eBay's servers is slowed down by unusually
heavy traffic, or it goes out of service, increasing the load on the
others. This doesn't count as an outage, because eBay as a whole is still
functioning. But a snipe can be processed late because it was addressed
to an eBay server that was misbehaving or running slowly.
