My bid didn't appear in the auction's bid history

If eBay did not accept your bid for any reason, the bid will not appear in the auction's bid history. This may make it appear that eSnipe never submitted your bid or that eBay ignored it, although that is not the case.

The same thing happens in a traditional auction. If you try to bid less than the current high bid for example, your bid won't be accepted.

There are several reasons why eBay might not accept your bid:

• Your bid was less than the current high bid, or was less than the current high bid plus the bid increment.
• Your bid was less than the reserve price.
• The seller closed the auction early.
• Another bidder won the item early by exercising the Buy It Now option.
• You used too small a buffer value, so that eBay failed to process your bid before the auction closed.
